What should I charge? (Here's the real answer)

Hey Reader,

If you've ever typed "what should I charge as a professional organizer" into Google, you already know what comes back.

A range so wide it's basically useless.

So I made a video that actually answers the question.

Not with a number. With a framework that's built around how and when you want to work, what you need to earn, and the pricing model that creates consistent income instead of unpredictable months.

We start with a math problem.

I want you to think about your last organizing job.

How many hours did you charge for?

Next, add up everything you did for the client. The drive, the texts, the supply run, sending the invoice, the donation drop-off, the follow-up and the work itself of course. How many hours was that?

Now take the money you earned and divide it by ALL those hours.

That is your actual hourly rate.

And for a lot of organizers, it's not even worth leaving the house.

If that number made you uncomfortable, good. That's exactly why I made this video.

Inside you'll find:

  • The four pricing models most organizers use and my honest opinion about each of them
  • Why I moved to full-day sessions immediately and what changed
  • The three pillar posts for calculating your rate with confidence
  • The exact language to use when you make the shift to session pricing
  • Why your rate is a signal and what it might be saying about you

This is the most practical pricing video I've ever made. I think it's going to change everything for you.

See you over on YouTube,

Amy

Hey Reader, We’re moving into summer fast. The school routine is gone, work is a little slower, and “flexible” can quickly turn into chaos. I’ve coached enough women through the summer slide to know that without some structure in place, June momentum becomes August exhaustion. The kids notice. So does your calendar and your bank account. Our son is launched, but Steve and I still build a summer rhythm on purpose. It’s intentional, just the way I like it. Here’s what we actually do: Sunday...

Hey Reader, I'm hearing this from women who are running businesses and those who want to start one. "I'll figure it out when the kids go back to school.""I just need to get through summer.""I've got a lot going on, and it's not the best time for my business." I get it. The calendar is loose. The kids are home. Vacation needs planning. Aging parents need visits. 🙋♀️ A business is one more thing competing for the same hours. But here's the thing: it's never going to be the right time to grow...

Hey Reader, We're halfway through the year. New Year's resolutions might be long gone. But it's a good time to look at some small habits that can make a big difference, especially with your finances. Did you know that the average American household carries over $11,500 in credit card debt? And 78% of us are living paycheck to paycheck. If that's where you are, you're not behind. You're just ready for a different approach, like one of my clients is embracing right now. Let me tell you the...
