You don't have to choose between summer and your business

Hey Reader,

I'm hearing this from women who are running businesses and those who want to start one.

"I'll figure it out when the kids go back to school."
"I just need to get through summer."
"I've got a lot going on, and it's not the best time for my business."

I get it. The calendar is loose. The kids are home. Vacation needs planning. Aging parents need visits. 🙋‍♀️ A business is one more thing competing for the same hours.

But here's the thing: it's never going to be the right time to grow your business. And your competitors who show up consistently this summer will have all the momentum in the fall.

Three months of "I'll figure it out later" turns into a September that is harder than it has to be. Your pipeline is thin. And you're discouraged thinking about all the momentum you built in the spring.

It's gone. And you're starting over with an empty bank account.

It doesn't have to be that way. The women I work with don't take the summer off. But they don't burn the candle at both ends either. They built a smaller version for summer to stay in shape as a business owner.

Here's what that actually looks like, inside coaching:

  • We start with what you CAN do, not the long list of what you can't.
  • We build your ideal calendar and fill it with paying clients.
  • We map that calendar back to your revenue goals, so you know the smaller version is still focused on needle-moving activities, not busy-work
  • We build your one offer. It is one service, one price, and it works with your life
  • We protect lead-generating time every week, so the momentum doesn't stall

You don't need a full calendar to keep your business running, but you do need an intentional one.

I made a video about why I didn't start a business to hustle harder, and how I built one that works for my life

Your calendar reflects your values.

P.S. If you're feeling the pull of kids, parents, and business all at once, that's exactly what coaching is for. Book a call. We'll find the version of summer that keeps your business still standing in September.

Hey Reader, We’re moving into summer fast. The school routine is gone, work is a little slower, and “flexible” can quickly turn into chaos. I’ve coached enough women through the summer slide to know that without some structure in place, June momentum becomes August exhaustion. The kids notice. So does your calendar and your bank account. Our son is launched, but Steve and I still build a summer rhythm on purpose. It’s intentional, just the way I like it. Here’s what we actually do: Sunday...

Hey Reader, We're halfway through the year. New Year's resolutions might be long gone. But it's a good time to look at some small habits that can make a big difference, especially with your finances. Did you know that the average American household carries over $11,500 in credit card debt? And 78% of us are living paycheck to paycheck. If that's where you are, you're not behind. You're just ready for a different approach, like one of my clients is embracing right now. Let me tell you the...

Hey Reader, I came across a reel this week that stopped my scroll. A woman is standing in her parents' garage. She's trying to clear a path, just enough room for a wheelchair. Because her parents need medical equipment now. A hospital bed is coming. And the garage, like so much of the house, is buried. She's been trying to help her parents deal with this for years. And now they're in crisis. And so is she. In the comments, someone told her to just leave it alone. Use the inheritance to clean...
