Why your hourly rate might be the problem

Hey Reader,

If your revenue has been inconsistent: great month, slow month, zero month, I want you to watch this video before you change anything else in your business.

Because the problem might not be what you think it is.

It's probably not your marketing. It's probably not your systems. It might not even be your confidence.

It is likely how you charge.

Hourly pricing feels easy. You do the work, you track the time, you send the invoice. But hourly pricing puts your client in a position where she's watching the clock instead of trusting the process. The client tells you what they want to buy.

They are not the expert.

They do not know how long it takes to organize a pantry.

There's a better way. It's called session pricing. And in my latest video, I walk you through exactly how it works, including the specific language I teach my clients to use from day one.

👉 [Watch the video here]

Inside, you'll find:

  • Why hourly works against you as you grow
  • How to present your services as full and half-day sessions
  • What to say when a client asks, "How long will this take?"
  • How to handle the spaces that are fuller than expected
  • The mindset shift that makes all of this click

Session pricing is one of the first things I cover with my organizers because it changes everything downstream. Your sales conversations get easier. Your clients show up differently. And your income becomes much more predictable.

If you're ready to stop second guessing your pricing and start leading, this video will help.

And after you watch it, hit reply and tell me what you think!

Hey Reader, A few weeks ago, I gave a talk called Less Stuff, More God at my church. It was one of the most meaningful nights I’ve had on a stage in a long time. And even if church isn’t your thing, I think you’ll relate to everything that comes next. The emails started coming in the next day. One stopped me completely. A reader wrote to tell me about her widowed parent. The house is full and overwhelming. Walkways are narrow. And as her mom's steadiness has declined, the stuff has quietly...

Hey Reader, Just a quick reminder that I have a speaking event this Wednesday at 7 pm. It's called "Hope for the Home: Less Stuff, More God." You're invited! 🥳 This one is a little different from what I usually talk about. It's personal. It's about my journey and my faith. It's the belief that what we carry in our home and our calendar says something about what we're carrying in our hearts. And what we make room for. I'll be talking about what happens when life feels too full. Too much stuff....

Hey Reader, The school year is coming to an end quickly, which means graduation season. We have several grad party invites already! Two years ago, we celebrated my son's high school graduation. My husband and I went to parties like it was our job, and we loved every minute of it. We've been empty-nesting for the past few years. But when our college student comes home for the summer, guess what? All the extra stuff comes home, too! 😳 And we need to find a place for it, or pass it on. I sold...
